Fruit is the sweet, fleshy, edible part of a plant. Fruits are usually eaten raw, although some varieties can be cooked. They come in a wide variety of colours, shapes and flavours.
Vegetables can be eaten either raw or cooked and play an important role in human nutrition, being mostly low in fat and carbohydrates, but high in vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber.
Salads (Lactuca sativa), is a leafy herbaceous annual or biennial plant grown for its leaves which are used as a salad green. There is nothing like a fresh salad to start a meal with or for a lighter bite!
Berries are small, soft, round fruit of various colors — mainly blue, red or purple. They are sweet or sour in taste and often used in preservatives, jams and desserts. Berries are loaded with vitamins.
Most people are familiar with a certain number of common tropical fruits such as bananas, oranges, lemons, limes, pineapple, grapefruit, dates and figs. Exotic fruits are available in many varieties.
